The wreckage of a downed S-70 Okhotnik attack drone has been found in territory controlled by Ukraine. According to the Military Informant Telegram channel, the fragments found included an AL-41F1 engine, which is usually installed on experimental devices. This suggests that it was not a production model of this drone that crashed, but a prototype.
The S-70 Okhotnik is a heavy unmanned aerial vehicle designed for reconnaissance and precision strikes on ground targets. It is equipped with modern stealth technologies and is used in tandem with the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter, acting as a wingman. Both vehicles are already actively used in special military operations and have many targets to their credit.
The published photographs from the crash site of the drone show that it was one of the test models, not yet brought to serial production. At the same time, the inscription C-70-4 can be seen on one of the discovered devices, which, according to analysts, indicates that the UAV was supposed to be equipped with a flat nozzle.
