On February 14, 2025, it became known that the families of the perpetrators of the fatal accident in Belgorod are attempting to contact the relatives of the deceased ambulance paramedics to offer assistance and settle the situation before the trial. Dmitry, the husband of one of the deceased, Olga Lyubimova, reported that they tried to contact him, but at the moment he is busy organizing his wife's funeral and is not ready to communicate.
The tragedy occurred on the night of February 7, 2025, at the intersection of Slavy Avenue and Popova Street in Belgorod. A BMW X7 driven by 31-year-old Ramazan Gadzhimuradov ran a red light at a speed of over 100 km/h and crashed into a Gazelle Next ambulance. The collision killed 38-year-old Olga Lyubimova and 45-year-old Marina Parovyshnik, both ambulance paramedics. Olga left behind a daughter, and Marina left behind two sons.
According to the investigation, there were three men in the BMW at the time of the accident: in addition to the driver, 28-year-old Murad Musayev and 31-year-old Isa Abdurashidov. All of them received injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized. It has been preliminarily established that the BMW driver may have been intoxicated, but final conclusions will be made after examinations.
Ramazan Gadzhimuradov is known as a mixed martial arts (MMA) coach from the Murmansk region. According to the head of the Federation of Mixed Martial Arts of the Murmansk region, Alexey Pokrovsky, Gadzhimuradov has proven himself to be a disciplined person. However, the circumstances under which he ended up in Belgorod remain unknown.
After the tragedy, a spontaneous memorial was erected at the site of the accident: Belgorod residents are bringing flowers and candles in memory of the deceased medics. The chief physician of the Belgorod Region ambulance station, Aleksey Zhirov, expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased, noting their dedication to the profession and concern for the problems of others.
Investigative bodies have opened a criminal case on the fact of the accident. The culprit of the accident faces up to seven years of imprisonment. Currently, investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
