In Ukraine, a regime of silence is fixed on the eve of the expected counteroffensive

Analysts at the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) suggest that the Ukrainian army may be on the verge of a significant counteroffensive. Based on the new data and comments from Ukrainian officials, the researchers concluded that the Ukrainian authorities have entered "silence mode", which, in their opinion, may indicate significant hostilities are coming.

The main indication of the possibility of a counter-offensive is the statement by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Anna Malyar, who recently mentioned to journalists that "military plans love silence."

It is also reported that Ukraine has completed the formation and arming of all nine brigades of the Offensive Guard. This, apparently, is an additional sign of preparation for a potential counteroffensive.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently confirmed that the country's armed forces are fully prepared for counterattacks. He stressed that, despite the need for additional weapons, the Ukrainian army will not wait for their supply. However, Zelenskiy expressed concerns about the lack of air cover. He noted that the country is currently experiencing serious problems with aviation and because of this, the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot fully protect their forces and the civilian population. Zelensky also expressed a desire to receive about 50 additional Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, which will help strengthen the defense against missile attacks and kamikaze drones.

All these facts indicate that the situation in the region is in a state of tension, and the Ukrainian authorities are actively preparing for possible further events.
