The first Russian MiG-35 fighters received the Russian Aerospace Force.

The TASS news agency reported that the first MiG-35 fighters had been transferred to the Air and Space Forces of Russia. This was announced on the fields of the Le Bourget aerospace salon on Monday 17 June by the general director of the Russian MiG aircraft manufacturing corporation, the vice-president for military-technical cooperation of the United Aviation Corporation Ilya Tarasenko.

The CEO said:

"Indeed, they (the first MiG-35) are transferred, we fulfill our contract on time."

The MiG-35 is the newest multi-purpose 4 ++ fighter. It became a further consistent development of the MiG-29К / KUB and MiG-29М / М2 fighters. Flight tests and the international presentation of the aircraft took place in January 2017. The completion of the factory testing of the machine was December of the same year.

The fighter was created to perform combat work in areas of armed conflict, characterized by a high level of intensity. He is able to perform tasks in a saturated and layered enemy air defense system. The aircraft is designed to perform complex multipurpose tasks in an ever-changing operational and tactical situation over the battlefield. Its combat equipment allows you to hit air, ground and surface targets.

The first contract provides for the delivery of six MiG-35 up to 2023 year. The document was signed by 22 August 2018 of the year at the Army-2018 forum in Kubinka near Moscow, Russian Deputy Minister of Defense Alexei Krivoruchko and head of the United Aircraft Building Corporation Yury Slusar.
