At the Voronezh Aircraft Building Plant began to manufacture elements of composite materials intended for the production of a new prospective Russian airliner MC-21.

According to the project manager, the first Russian passenger airliner MC-21 will be built before the end of 2015, after which its mass production will begin. The aircraft will be used to carry out long-haul flights, and there will be a place on its board for a 160-210 person, depending on the configuration.

The production of Russian airliners will be much cheaper than the purchase and subsequent maintenance of foreign aircraft such as Boeing and Airbus, which is likely to cause great interest among Russian air carriers, not to mention foreign airlines.
