The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the start of the second stage of exercises of non-strategic nuclear forces. During these exercises, issues of preparing the armed forces of Russia and Belarus for the combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons will be worked out. The exercises are aimed at ensuring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Union State.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the exercises include a set of activities aimed at increasing the combat readiness and coordination of the actions of the armed forces of the two countries in the face of a potential threat. Military specialists from both countries will work to improve tactical and operational skills, as well as practice scenarios for the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons in various combat conditions.
The exercises are conducted with the aim of strengthening the defense potential of the Union State and demonstrating readiness to protect national interests. Particular attention will be paid to issues of interaction between different types of troops and services, as well as the effective use of modern technologies and weapons.
