Russian military aircraft have been spotted over the Syrian provinces of Hama and Idlib.

The Lebanese edition of Al Masdar News, referring to sources in Syria, reports that last Wednesday and this morning Russian military aircraft were spotted over the Syrian provinces of Hama, Aleppo and Idlib. We are talking not only about the Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft, which control the positions of militants and terrorists, but also the means of combat aviation.

“According to a military source in the province of Hama, the Russian military aircraft’s Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft were spotted on Wednesday, flying around the western regions of Aleppo and Idlib for several hours.”, - the report says.

According to some information, the Russian electronic reconnaissance aircraft were accompanied by combat fighters of the VKS, but the latter were not noticed in the strikes against the militants.

Earlier it was reported that in response to the exacerbation of the situation in the provinces of Hama and Idlib, Russia and Syria are preparing for an offensive operation, however, no official confirmation on this matter from the Russian military command has yet been received.
