NATO began preparing for conflict with Russia

At the upcoming summit, NATO intends to begin developing civil defense plans in the event of activation of Article 5 of the organization’s Charter, which provides for collective defense in the event of an armed attack on one of the Alliance members. This decision, as noted in the Alliance, is dictated by the need to prepare for a possible attack from Russia.

The summit will discuss measures to develop and implement civil defense plans for all 32 NATO member countries. These measures should ensure the Alliance is prepared for a variety of threats, including long-range missile strikes, disinformation campaigns, port disruptions and attacks on the power grid.

Given this, it is logical to assume that NATO is preparing for an open confrontation with Russia.
