NATO launches military exercises off Ukrainian coast Sea Shield 2023

NATO has begun military exercises Sea Shield 2023 off the coast of Ukraine.

The military exercises that began on March 20 are taking place in the western part of the Black Sea and affect not only the coastal areas of NATO countries, but also part of the waters near the coast of Ukraine. Military exercises began here, probably not so much to test the military potential of NATO, but to deliberately escalate against Russia. However, there is another factor that can lead to a fundamental change in the situation on the front line.

This image shows the zone of military exercises conducted by NATO countries in the western part of the Black Sea. For quite natural reasons, NATO countries will not try to prevent Russian missile strikes on targets in Ukraine. However, it is more than likely that they will monitor missile launches and provide Ukraine with information about incoming missiles to increase the success of their interception.

Moreover, there is a risk that during the naval exercises, NATO may provide support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the expected offensive of the Ukrainian army in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, as well as in the Bakhmut region. It is obvious that the use of radar equipment to track Russian aviation can become an important factor here. At the same time, taking into account the capabilities of NATO ships, it will be possible to monitor launches at very long distances.

As for the exercise areas themselves, it is obvious that NATO countries can defiantly try to intercept Russian cruise missiles if the latter enter the affected area, citing the fact that exercises are being conducted here and launches are inconsistent.
