In Russia, the purpose of the RQ-4 Global Hawk flights near the Crimea has been "revealed".

The editor-in-chief of Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine, Viktor Murakhovsky, is confident that American Global Hawk reconnaissance drones appear at the Russian borders to reveal the capabilities of modern Russian air defense systems to detect and engage air targets.

Especially for «RIA News» Murakhovsky specified that Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles patrol literally every day near Crimea and the Kaliningrad region. The Americans are reassuring themselves that "we will include our complexes (S-400) in combat mode." The Russian military does not do this, so reconnaissance vehicles manage to take the parameters of only standby radar stations.

A little earlier, Interfax reported that the United States drone RQ-4 Global Hawk (onboard number - 10-2043, call sign - FORTE10) took off from Sigonella airbase, located on the island of Sicily (Italy). Having flown to the Crimea, he flew for five hours along a line from the western tip of the peninsula to Tuapse.
