A German citizen tried to carry explosives on board a passenger liner.

While boarding a flight from the Swedish city of Gothenburg to Landvetter, a German citizen tried to smuggle explosives on board a passenger aircraft. Despite the increased security measures at the airport, the specialists failed to detect the explosive by standard means, but the special services acted on a tip, as a result of which the man was arrested.

At the moment, it remains unknown what the purpose of the German was to try to carry the explosives aboard the plane, but, given its special composition, it is likely that the man was preparing for a terrorist act, which, however, has yet to be proved by the investigation.
