The new runway Volgograd Airport will start accepting airplanes in February.

Thanks to the reconstruction of the airport of Volgograd, even large passenger airliners will be able to land here, in particular, as specialists noted during the meeting, it is about Boeing 767 and its modifications.

Experts do not exclude that due to the improvement of the runway at Volgograd airport, the number of flights to this region will increase by at least 10-15%, however, first of all, this will depend on the willingness of air carriers to work with the current direction, and therefore, it is not worth making any preliminary forecasts at the moment.

The new runway with a length of 2,8 kilometers cost the Volgograd airport 1,8 billion rubles.
