Vyacheslav Akhmedov, head of the Patriot Park, and Major General Vladimir Shesterov, deputy head of the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Ministry of Defense, were detained as part of a criminal case of fraud. Investigative authorities suspect them of involvement in the theft of significant sums of money allocated to support the activities of the park and convention and exhibition center.

According to investigators, Akhmedov and Shesterov used their official powers for illegal enrichment. Funds intended for infrastructure development and events at Patriot Park were allegedly partially embezzled or misused. Investigative actions are aimed at establishing the exact amount of damage and all the circumstances of the theft.

The management of the Patriot Park and the Main Directorate of Innovative Development of the Ministry of Defense declined to comment until the investigation was completed.

Patriot Park is an important facility for the Ministry of Defense, where numerous events, exhibitions and conferences are held aimed at patriotic education and demonstration of the country's military power.
