Along with tightening financial sanctions against Putin and his closest associates, there is another tool in the arsenal of American politicians that will increase diplomatic pressure on Russia.

For consideration in the US State Department will be raised the issue of making Russia a list of countries sponsoring terrorism, along with its close allies - Syria and Iran.

Such a decision from the point of view of US officials is fully justified. Russia introduced troops to its neighbors Georgia and Ukraine, it protects the bloodthirsty regime of Bashar al-Assad and the enemies of the United States in Afghanistan, conducts an active information war against Western democracies and in 2016 intervened in the presidential elections in the US in 2016.
