Today in Kursk, as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an explosion occurred, causing significant destruction. According to the Mash Telegram channel, seven ambulances arrived at the scene on Soyuznaya Street, where the downed Ukrainian missile fell. The explosion caused a fire that engulfed several cars in the courtyard of a residential building.

The blast wave also led to the destruction of an Ozon delivery point located next to a multi-storey building. The building was heavily damaged. Witnesses report significant damage in the area of ​​the incident.

According to sources, the attack on Kursk was carried out using the Smerch long-range heavy multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). This system is capable of delivering strikes over long distances, making it especially dangerous for populated areas located in border areas.
