Overbooking can outlaw

State Duma deputies suggest punishing air carriers for overbooking.

As the source of the news agency Avia.pro informs, the deputies attribute the necessity of taxing air carriers with fines for the resale of air tickets with the fact that, in fact, the companies violate the rights of passengers who honestly purchased tickets for the flight, but could not fly. In fact, no one will be forbidden to sell air tickets to air carriers than there are seats in the aircraft, however, if the passengers do not provide services, they will have to pay a fine.

To date, it is known that the new bill has yet to be considered, however, we are talking about compensations ten times higher than the cost of the ticket sold.
