Russia was asked to protect Palestine from Israel.

Palestinian Ambassador Abdel Hafiz Nofal reported that the Palestinian side has applied to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation with a request to protect the territory of the state from the illegal occupation by Israel and aggressive actions of the Jewish state towards the Palestinian people.

“We believe in Moscow’s ability to influence the Israeli side so that the latter abandons such aggressive plans”- said the Palestinian side.

It should be clarified that a request for help was sent to Russia after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu openly announced plans to occupy Palestine, completely ignoring international rights and norms.

The Russian side has not yet given any answer, however, experts believe that Russia will not be able to exert sufficient influence on Israel.

"Today, Israel does not care about the statements of Russia and the UN regarding the illegality of the strikes on Syria and the occupation of the Golan Heights, in connection with which, obviously, the Russian side will not be able to provide protection to Palestine.", - the expert marks.
