The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov stated that the current situation in the Kursk region, where security problems and infrastructure challenges have been observed in recent months, is gradually stabilizing. According to him, all necessary measures are being taken to normalize the situation as soon as possible, and positive changes can be expected in the near future.
Particular attention in the region is paid to ensuring the safety of the population against the backdrop of repeated shelling and the seizure of part of the region's territory by the Ukrainian military. It is also important to strengthen the coordination of local authorities with the federal center. Against this backdrop, personnel changes in the regional administration are being discussed, however, as Peskov emphasized, the issue of changing the head of the region is not related to claims personally to the current governor. It is about the need to make decisions that will be most effective in overcoming the crisis situation.
