According to the Novgorod region, news portal Avia.pro Government became aware of the fact that the former military airfield will be a terminal for low-cost airlines servicing, with expected due to such an initiative, several additional low-cost airlines may appear on the territory of the country.

According to the governor of the Novgorod region, a converted airfield will serve the passenger traffic of Moscow, the south of Russia, Volga, Siberian and Ural federal districts.

However, the specific timeframe for the construction of a new airport, called Krechevitsy, remains unknown, but experts are inclined to believe that due to the strategic location, work may begin in the coming months.

According to the information received, the infrastructure of the future airport will be well developed, there will be a hotel, warehouse terminals, etc.
