The President of Ukraine apologized for the promises of the conflict in the Donbas.

The Ukrainian leader, Petro Poroshenko, apologized to the Ukrainian people for these promises about the timing of the end of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. Every year, the Ukrainian president gave new terms for the restoration of control over the eastern part of Ukraine, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine simply cannot overcome the strongest resistance from the militia of the DPR and the LPR.

"I am ashamed, and I apologized for the fact that I filed unfounded hopes about the timing of the end of the war", - said Petro Poroshenko in an interview with the TV channel "112 Ukraine".

According to the Ukrainian president, he made a “mistake” that cannot be justified.

"And I can once again apologize to the Ukrainian people, which gave unreasonable hopes"- stressed the Ukrainian president.

In turn, the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics declared that the Donbass would, until the last moment, resist the attempts of the Ukrainian authorities to regain control of the eastern part of Ukraine, including by resorting to very radical measures, which Kiev should be avoided.
