Following drone attacks and explosions, a strong glow is observed in the Lyudinovo area

On January 17, 2025, in the city of Lyudinovo in the Kaluga Region, an incident involving an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) occurred, resulting in a fire breaking out on the territory of an industrial enterprise. The region's governor, Vladislav Shapsha, reported that, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties. An operational group and rescue services are working at the scene.

Lyudinovo, located in the south of the Kaluga region, 150 km from Kaluga and 80 km from Bryansk, has not been the target of drone attacks for the first time. On November 16, 2024, after a drone attack on the outskirts of the city, an explosion occurred, damaging double-glazed windows in several residential buildings. At that time, casualties and serious damage to infrastructure were avoided.

The situation is complicated by the fact that, according to local residents, a very strong glow can be seen in the region, which raises concerns about the consequences of the Ukrainian UAV attack on the region, especially considering the oil depot and a number of key enterprises located here.

On November 25, 2024, on the outskirts of Kaluga, air defense forces destroyed three UAVs. The wreckage of one of them fell on the territory of an industrial enterprise, causing a fire. The fire was extinguished, there were no casualties.

On December 23, 2024, drone debris was again discovered on the outskirts of Lyudinovo. Governor Shapsha called on residents to be careful and immediately report such objects to emergency services, reminding them of the possible danger of explosives on fallen drones.
