After a drone attack on enterprises in Azov, a criminal case was opened

The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case under the article “terrorist attack” after a drone attack on the territory of two enterprises in the city of Azov, Rostov region. The incident occurred on June 18 and caused significant damage and fire.

The first drone crashed into a tank with diesel fuel on the territory of the Azovproduct enterprise at about 2:30 am. The tank caught fire and the fire began to spread quickly. Two firefighting trains and almost 200 Emergency Situations Ministry employees were immediately sent to the scene. Firefighting continued for almost a day. The “Typhoon” plan was introduced in the transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the North Caucasus Federal District.

Some time later, two more drones attacked the territory of the DonTerminal enterprise in the village of Kagalnik, Azov district, Rostov region. There were no fires as a result of these attacks. Russian Guard officers checked the area and did not find any unexploded explosives.

In response to the attacks, the War Crimes Investigation Department of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“terrorist act”) against unidentified individuals from among the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Ukraine.
