Assassination attempt on top manager of KB Mashinostroeniya prevented

FSB officers prevented a contract killing of Gennady Devyatov, one of the top managers of JSC NPK Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering. As Mash reports, the operation took place on December 12, when two alleged perpetrators associated with Ukrainian special services were detained.

According to the source, the perpetrators planned to plant an explosive device under Devyatov's car in Moscow. The coordinates for planting the explosives were allegedly transmitted via messenger. As a result of operational actions, the plan was prevented from being implemented.

The suspects were 21-year-old Shandro Shishkov from Nizhny Tagil, previously convicted of robbery, and 23-year-old Denis Kaiser from the Sverdlovsk region. Both were detained and are under investigation. At this time, official bodies are not disclosing additional details of the operation.

JSC NPK KB Mashinostroeniya is one of the key enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. The company is engaged in the development of high-precision weapons, including the Iskander operational-tactical missile systems, the Ataka anti-tank missile systems, the Verba portable anti-aircraft missile systems and other systems.

Information about the assassination attempt caused a wide resonance, but Mash's publication dedicated to this event was subsequently deleted. The reasons for the deletion remain unknown. It is possible that this is due to an error in the initial data.
