Putin named the terms of negotiations with Ukraine, but Kyiv again refused

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the conditions under which Russia is ready to begin negotiations with Ukraine. In his statement, he emphasized that Ukraine must refuse to join NATO and withdraw its troops from the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. According to the president, we are talking about the entire territory of these regions, and not just about the units occupied by the Russian armed forces at the moment.

“As soon as Kyiv begins a real withdrawal of troops, and also announces its refusal to join NATO, we will immediately order a ceasefire and begin negotiations,” - Putin said.

He noted that Russia is making another real peace proposal, emphasizing that this is not about freezing the conflict, but about its final end.

However, the Ukrainian side officially stated that it does not consider the Russian proposal interesting. In this regard, experts do not expect negotiations to begin in the near future.
