Putin flew to Mariupol by helicopter

Putin visited Mariupol for the first time.

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Mariupol on a previously unannounced visit. According to the data presented, the Russian leader visited this city by helicopter, however, later, he moved around the city by car, stressing that the road infrastructure in the city is good.

Putin's visit to Mariupol came as quite a surprise, as it is the first known visit by a president to the city. In all likelihood, the planned visit of the Russian leader was not announced in advance for security reasons, since the Ukrainian army is armed with long-range weapons, including tactical missiles, drones with explosives, etc.

At the moment, active work is underway to restore the city, which during the fighting last year was almost completely destroyed by multiple strikes by artillery, tanks and combat aircraft.

It is reported that during the trip of the Russian leader to Mariupol, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin reported in detail to the Russian leader on the progress of construction and restoration work in the city and its environs.
