Moreover, the President of the Russian Federation noted that against the background of threats from Washington to unilaterally withdraw from the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Short-Range Missiles (INF Treaty), Russia sent a number of recommendations and specific proposals to the United States, but the United States did not give them due attention. In this connection, further dialogue between the two countries on the INF Treaty can be considered exhausted.

Vladimir Putin stressed that current actions by the United States “They are leading the line on dismantling the system of international agreements in the field of arms control, which tie their hands in building up their military potential”.
