A brutal knife attack has left five people injured in the Croydon area of south London. The incident took place in a commercial building on Marlow Way, near the Asda supermarket, The Independent reported, citing London police data.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics were at the scene and treated the injured. One was immediately taken to a major London trauma centre for specialist care. The other four people were taken to various hospitals in the city for further treatment.
The police responded quickly to the incident and the suspect was detained in the shortest possible time. He is currently in custody, which allows the investigation to begin work on clarifying all the circumstances of the case. At the moment, the motive of the attacker and his identity remain unknown, as the police are not disclosing this information so as not to harm the investigation.
