The newest Russian complex “Pantsir-SM” will be developed only by 2021 year.

Despite the fact that the Pantsir-SM complex was supposed to be developed back in 2017, and several months earlier it was reported that it was ready to send these ZRPK to the troops, it became known that the development of an air defense and anti-missile defense system had to be postponed for two years what the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation personally stated.

"In 2021, it is planned to complete the creation of anti-aircraft missile-gun complex interspecific use" Pantsir-SM, - said Sergey Shoigu.

It is noteworthy that in early April, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces of Russia, General Yuri Grekhov, announced that the Pantsir-SM complex had passed successful tests, and according to the Rossiyskaya Gazeta publication, the ZRPK should have entered service with the Russian army. in 2019, however, obviously, the Russian air defense / missile defense system had significant problems with testing, or the blame for everything was the US sanctions imposed against the manufacturer of these air defense systems.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian ZRPK Pantsir-SM could be tested in Syria, but there is currently no official confirmation of this information.
