On the evening of June 16, 2025, in the center of Moscow, Rosgvardia officers prevented an attempt to set fire to a recruiting station. As reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of Rosgvardia in Moscow, an 18-year-old young man was detained at the scene thanks to the prompt actions of non-departmental security. The incident occurred near one of the military commissariats in the Central Administrative District of the capital.

According to the department, the young man tried to set the building on fire using a flammable liquid. However, the vigilance of the National Guard officers allowed them to stop the illegal actions in time. The security guards quickly used a fire extinguisher, which prevented the fire and possible serious consequences. The detainee was handed over to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for further investigation. During the initial interrogation, the young man stated that his actions were provoked by fraudsters, but the details of his motivation have not yet been disclosed.

The incident has caused a wide public outcry, especially against the backdrop of the increasing number of attacks on military facilities in Russia. Experts attribute such incidents to the growth of social tensions and the influence of disinformation spread via the Internet. In particular, calls for radical actions have repeatedly appeared in Telegram channels and other social platforms, which, according to law enforcement agencies, may push young people to commit crimes.
