Russia is close to cutting off a strategically important transport corridor for the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Russian troops have made significant progress in cutting off the Ukrainian army's supply line in the city of Kurakhovo, located in the west of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), said Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Russian Federation Public Chamber's commission on sovereignty issues.

According to Rogov, the Russian army has advanced several kilometers north of the settlement of Yasnaya Polyana, approaching Constantinople, a key transport hub through which the main supply line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in Kurakhovo passes.

He added that the advance of Russian troops is coming from two directions - from the northern and southern flanks, gradually "tightening the pincers" around Kurakhovo. If the supply route is taken under control, this will create serious difficulties for the Ukrainian army in the region.

Earlier, Rogov reported that only five kilometers remained until full control over the main supply route of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was achieved. Control of this route could significantly weaken the positions of Ukrainian troops, disrupting their logistics and complicating the delivery of ammunition, equipment and food.
