Russia and the UAE will be engaged in joint development of a light fighter 5-generation.

At the moment, the development of a new light fighter 5-generation is already under way, however, as noted by the representatives of "Rostec" is that we are talking about the initial, more preparatory phase, while the design process itself can take up to 8 years. It should be specified that the representatives of Russia and the United Arab Emirates have already signed the necessary agreement on joint development, it is expected that the authorities of the United Arab Emirates provide the proper funding of the project.

According to some reports, available to the editors of the portal Avia.pro, the design of the new aircraft will be carried out on the basis of MiG-29 fighter.
