A groundwork is being created in Russia for the creation of a sixth generation fighter

UAC President Yuri Slyusar in an interview with the Zvezda TV channel said that the development of the sixth generation aircraft in Russia will begin after all the requirements for it have been formed. At present, the enterprises are busy creating a scientific and technical groundwork for the development of such an aircraft.

The head of the KLA stressed that the doctrine of the customer is required for the basis of the work. Developers need to know how the customer sees the sixth generation aircraft. For this reason, the formulation of such requirements is underway.

Slyusar added that today's situation "Similar to the fifth-generation fighter, work on which was begun in the 1980-e years".

Now in Russia we are talking about the mass production of the fifth-generation fighter Su-57. President Vladimir Putin said in May that before 2028, 76 of such aircraft should go to Russian troops.
