Russia did not want to give Serbia the S-400 Triumph air defense system

There will be no gifts to Belgrade in the form of Russian C-400.

Contrary to the earlier statement that Serbia does not intend to buy Triumph Russian S-400 air defense systems, but will gladly accept them as a gift, due to the extremely high cost of Russian air defense and missile defense systems, it became known that Russia has no intentions to give these air defense and missile defense means, which, by the way, are the most long-range in the world.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov, Russia will not “give” Belgrade the S-400 Triumph air defense system, however, it is ready to provide Serbia with a loan for the purchase of these air defense / missile defense systems.

“Borisov was asked if Russia could sell S-400 to Serbia on credit. "Everything is possible. As far as I know, there are no applications for С-400, ”he said. The Deputy Prime Minister also added that this topic was not discussed at the talks between Putin and Vucic. “Maybe I don’t know something, but they didn’t discuss it with me,” he concluded., - RIA Novosti reports.

Given the statement made, Serbia has no intention to acquire Russian C-400 so far, however, experts say that even if a contract is concluded with this country, Belgrade will be able to receive C-400 no earlier than in 5-6 years, as of today quite a lot of interest in the Russian Triumphs is manifested around the world, in particular, in the near future it is planned to start delivering C-400 to India, while Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are also among potential buyers.
