Russia did not want to give Serbia the S-400 Triumph air defense system

There will be no gifts to Belgrade in the form of Russian S-400s.

Contrary to the earlier statement that Serbia does not intend to buy Russian S-400 Triumph air defense systems, but will willingly accept them as a gift, due to the extremely high cost of Russian air and missile defense systems, it became known that Russia has no intentions donate these means of anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense, which, by the way, are the most long-range in the world.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov, Russia will not "give" the S-400 Triumph air defense system to Belgrade, however, it is ready to provide Serbia with a loan for the purchase of these air defense / missile defense systems.

“Borisov was asked if Russia could sell the S-400 to Serbia on credit. "Everything is possible. As far as I know, there is no application for the S-400, ”he said. The Deputy Prime Minister also added that this topic was not discussed at the talks between Putin and Vucic. "I, perhaps, do not know something, but they did not discuss it with me," he concluded. ", - RIA Novosti reports.

Taking into account the statement made, Serbia has no intentions to acquire Russian S-400s yet, however, as experts note, even if a contract with this country is concluded, Belgrade will be able to receive S-400s no earlier than in 5-6 years, since today quite a lot of interest in Russian "Triumphs" is shown all over the world, in particular, in the near future it is planned to start deliveries of S-400s to India, while among potential buyers there are also Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
