Russia will remain without Ukrainian engines for An-148 and Be-200

Ukraine has banned the supply of engines for An-148 aircraft to Russia.

The Ukrainian authorities have decided to ban the supply of D-436 aircraft engines to the Russian Federation, which are used in the assembly of civil aircraft, in particular, we are talking about An-148 aircraft. What exactly the ban is connected with is still unknown, however, in addition to the possibility of installing such power plants on An-148 aircraft, Russia may be left without engines for Be-200 aircraft, which are used mainly to perform tasks related to extinguishing fires, carrying out search - rescue operations, liquidation of natural and man-made disasters, etc.

Experts still cannot name a possible reason why Ukraine refused to supply aircraft engines to Russia, however, it is likely that this may be due to cold political relations between the two countries.
