The price of the Pantsir-S ZRPK for the UAE was lower than for Syria.

A few hours ago it became known that within the framework of the IDEX-2019 exhibition, Russia had concluded a lucrative contract for the delivery of the Cornet-E complexes and the Pantsir-S air defense system to the United Arab Emirates. According to the data, the Kornet-E missile systems cost the UAE about 39,7 million dollars, and the Pantsir-S air defense missile system cost this country much cheaper than the average cost - only 12,1 million dollars.

Experts draw attention to the fact that there is no information confirming the sale of the Pantsir-S complexes to Syria, however, after the destruction of the Pantsir-S ZRPK, data began to appear that “the Syrian budget lost $ 15 million”.

Nevertheless, the analyst Avia.pro notes that in reality, there are various modifications of this anti-aircraft missile-cannon complex, the cost of which varies considerably. Moreover, taking into account the information provided by RIA Novosti, in reality, we are talking only about the modernization of the Pantsir-S, existing in service with the UAE ZRPK.

“The Pantsir is successfully operated by the Arab Emirates, and today we have received a request for their further modernization. Of course, they liked the presentations of this complex. ”- said Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev.
