Russians on board the crashed aircraft on the cube was not

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Cuba reported that Russian citizens were not on board an airliner that crashed in Havana 18 May. The statement is posted on the agency's Twitter account.

"According to information received from the official Cuban authorities, Russian citizens aboard the crashed aircraft were not", - is indicated in the message.

After the news of the tragedy, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Cuban leader Diaz-Canel Bermúdez in connection with the plane crash.

The plane was heading from Havana to Holguin. He crashed a few minutes after taking off from the airport of the Cuban capital. The exact number of casualties is still unknown. There is information only that of the 104 passengers on board, three survived.
