Russians prefer to fly on domestic routes.

This is evidenced by the statistics of domestic air carriers, according to which, over the period from 2013 to 2016, the passenger traffic increased by an average of 18%. According to the 2016 year, Simferopol, Moscow and Sochi became the most popular cities for Russians, however, positive results are observed in almost all Russian cities, which underlines the correctness of the government’s chosen strategy for the development of air links within the country.

Experts note that it is possible to increase passenger traffic inside the country by reducing the cost of tickets, however, this is not predicted in the near future, although such a move would prove to be quite rational.
