Russian "Krasuha" stunned Israeli planning bomb

Israeli planning bomb was "stunned" by Russian EW equipment.

A few weeks ago it became known that an Israeli planning bomb had fallen in the Syrian province of Damascus. Given the fact that the projectile did not receive any serious damage, experts say that it was not intercepted by anti-aircraft defense, but, most likely, it was “stunned” by Russian means of electronic suppression.

Analysts draw attention to the fact that it is impossible to unequivocally state that the planning bomb was “shot down” by EW equipment, but on the basis that the projectile flew at least a hundred kilometers, and fell in an area where there are no objects having detonated at the same time, there is an assumption that the flight of the planning bomb was suppressed by the same “Krasuha” - one of the most powerful EW facilities located in Syria.

According to official information, the detonation mechanism of the 450-kilogram projectile is controlled by the electronic filling of the planning bomb, which, in fact, could be disabled by EW facilities, and therefore the projectile was not detonated.

Nevertheless, experts note that obtaining an Israeli planning bomb will allow Russian specialists to develop new means of dealing with them, thereby increasing the effectiveness of existing air and missile defense systems.
