Russian airlines did not need foreign pilots.

According to information at the disposal of the news agency Avia.pro, for the year, domestic airlines hired only 33 foreign pilots, which is extremely low. The main reasons for the low demand for foreign pilots are the reduction by Russian airlines of their staff and the crisis situation in the country's civil aviation as a whole, as a result of which there is an excess of domestic pilots in Russia, and all other things being equal, their hiring is more profitable.

The largest number of foreign pilots is currently held by the airline Aeroflot - 27 people, and the remaining 8 people are employed by the air carrier AirBridgeCargo.
