Russian VCS decided to complete the liberation of the suburbs of Damascus.

After Russian bombers virtually destroyed the positions of Syrian militants on the territory of Duma, and liberated this city from a long-term blockade, it was decided to seize control of another strategically important region, located in the suburbs of Damascus.

As follows from official data, overnight in the south of Damascus was inflicted no less than 40 air strikes. The city of Al-Hajar al-Aswad, which is currently under the control of Syrian militants, was massively bombed. In the network of microblogging "Twitter" there were records that at least a hundred bombs were dropped on the city and its surroundings, which led to large-scale losses for militants.

It is known that both Russian and Syrian combat aircraft took part in the bombings of the city of El-Hajar al-Aswad, while the operation was certainly carefully planned, as taking this city would secure Damascus from possible rocket and mortar shelling with parties of terrorists.
