Russian fighter jets intercepted by Israeli Air Force fighters

The Israeli fighters retreated after the Russian planes were launched into the air.

Today it became known during the day that Israeli combat aircraft approached the western Syrian border from Lebanon, apparently intending to inflict air strikes on positions of the Syrian government forces. The source reported that Russian fighter planes were sent to intercept Israeli planes, which, without crossing the Lebanese-Syrian border, forced the Israeli pilots to retreat.

According to some reports, the Israeli Air Force intended to launch missile strikes against positions of the Syrian troops near the International Airport of Damascus, which was to be the answer to another attempt to conduct a drone in the Golan Heights area.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not commented on this information, but it was previously reported that the Russian Su-57 fighters intercepted the Israeli F-35I Adir near the Syrian border, against which the experts made the assumption that the data presented could well correspond to reality .

It should be clarified that the Syrian Air Force can not effectively intercept Israeli fighters, which is primarily due to the fact that the aircrafts of the Arab Republic, in the vast majority, belong to the third generation fighters.
