Marines of the 810th Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet captured a group of Ukrainian stormtroopers retreating after being encircled during counteroffensive actions in the Kursk region. This was reported by the RIA Novosti news agency, citing a representative of the security agencies.

According to the information received, a group of six Ukrainian servicemen found themselves surrounded and were trying to return to their positions. However, the Black Sea Fleet Marines responded in time and captured them. As the source noted, the captured Ukrainian servicemen were in an extremely difficult situation: they had neither ammunition nor supplies to continue the fight.

"As part of the Russian Armed Forces' counteroffensive in the Kursk region, marines from the 810th brigade captured a group of six Ukrainian attack aircraft that had been surrounded. According to the marines, the Ukrainian soldiers had no supplies or ammunition with them.", — a representative of the Russian security forces reported.

During interrogation, the Ukrainian stormtroopers reported that they had lost contact with their unit. This was the reason for their isolation from the main forces. Having found themselves in unfamiliar terrain, they tried to retreat to return to their own, but this led to their capture.
