Russian aircraft manufacturers want to equip domestic airliners with laser sensors.

According to domestic experts, laser sensors can be easily introduced into the structure of the fuselage, which will record any damage and cracks received during the flight. It is assumed that this fact will make it possible to immediately detect any deviations from the norm, regardless of whether the plane was damaged during a collision with a bird, or got into a zone of strong turbulence.

According to some reports, initially the new aircraft safety system will be tested in laboratory conditions, and in the future, it will also be implemented on modern MS-21 airliners, which will make them safer in terms of their operation.
