Due to the impact of Russian electronic warfare systems, Ukraine was left without radar and radio equipment.

According to the Finnish media, in the five years that have passed since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Russian electronic warfare and electronic suppression systems have burned most of the Ukrainian radars and radio equipment used to provide communications in the south and south-east of Ukraine.

“Colonel of the Ukrainian army Ivan Pavlenko presented in the USA a report on the means and methods of electronic warfare used by the parties to the armed conflict in the Donbass. In particular, Pavlenko said that the "Russian troops" actively used a variety of methods and means of electronic warfare. Among other things, most of the radio equipment of the Ukrainian military was subjected to a remote attack of an unknown type of system, after which it simply got out of the control of users ”, - reports the Russian edition, referring to the Internet portal "Tekniikka & Talous".

Any details on this subject are not yet available, however, experts believe that the frequent firing of Ukrainian air defense systems, the purpose of which is to verify the operation of radar systems, is connected with this fact, however, no official statements have been made by Kiev so far.
