Russian scientists will create a plane with laser weapons.

As follows from the information at the disposal of Avia.pro, Russian scientists thought about creating a new aircraft with laser weapons, using the developments achieved during the creation of the A-60 project. Taking into account the fact that specialists managed to make serious progress in the creation of aircraft with laser weapons, the creation of a new aircraft with laser weapons will not require large financial costs and time, while the prospects of such a project are quite impressive.

On the other hand, experts believe that the real use of aircraft with laser weapons is still very far away, since in essence, aircraft will have to be equipped with a powerful source of energy, as well as to solve the problem associated with focusing the laser beam.

Initially, the project of an aircraft with laser weapons was created on the basis of IL-76MD, however, now scientists want to use a different base, it is likely, a lighter and more compact aircraft.
