Russian scientists have created a weapon to "incinerate" drones

Unmanned aerial vehicles can now be incinerated with lasers and electromagnetic pulses.

In the near future, unique devices capable of destroying unmanned aerial vehicles without directly inflicting physical damage on them may appear in Russia's armament. If at the moment air defense systems are used to combat drones, then in the near future drones can literally be "incinerated" with the help of lasers and electromagnetic pulses, rendering them completely unusable.

One of the typical representatives of such anti-countermeasure countermeasures is the Russian unique Taran complex, which is a super powerful radiator capable of sending a powerful electromagnetic pulse to the drones, which disables the electronic components of the UAV without causing any visible physical damage to the device.

Attention should also be paid to the newest Russian laser complex "Peresvet", which is capable of destroying unmanned aerial vehicles at distances from several hundred meters to several kilometers. One of the disadvantages of this complex is its high cost, however, when deploying the complex in order to ensure the protection of a large space, it is very effective, which was demonstrated in the tests.

It should be clarified that such systems can be deployed and used against any unmanned aerial vehicles, regardless of whether it is a small reconnaissance drones, or drone drone.

"The appearance of such complexes to combat drones, completely destroys NATO's bid for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. The very idea of using these weapons is not new, but it is important to ensure the effectiveness of its use, which, ultimately, was achieved by Russian scientists and engineers ", - said a specialist Avia.pro.

* Peresvet - a complex of Russian laser weapons. Announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin in a message to the Federal Assembly on 1 March 2018, most of the information on the complex is classified, but according to experts, he presumably performs the tasks of anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense.
