On the night of April 25, 2025, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a high-precision attack on military facilities in Kyiv, hitting an underground workshop for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and one of the key decision-making centers of the Ukrainian army. Details about the destruction and casualties have not yet been disclosed, but the attack provoked a sharp reaction in both Kyiv and Washington.

Sources report that the strike targeted strategic facilities that support drone production and military operations coordination. The underground facility, located on the outskirts of the capital, was used to assemble UAVs, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces actively use at the front.

Experts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) note that such attacks are aimed at weakening the Ukrainian Armed Forces before a possible freezing of the front line.
