Russian "Pantsir-S" seen in Ethiopia

Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile systems appeared in the armed forces of Ethiopia. One of them is located near the Khidas hydroelectric power station, which is being built on the Blue Nile River. Other air defense systems made in the USSR and Russia are also located here. This Russian military equipment was filmed by the Ethiopian TV channel ETV.

The Egyptian authorities made Ethiopia a series of proposals to end the project, but they rejected them. Because of this, relations between the countries have worsened. Assuming that military aggression could follow from Egypt, the armed forces of Ethiopia decided to strengthen the air defense of the “construction of the century» Russian weapons.

The Pantsir-S complexes have been in service with Russia since 2008. As follows from media reports, they are used by the military of Syria, Iran, the UAE, Algeria, Iraq and Oman.
