The crew of the corvette "Boykiy" of the Baltic Fleet successfully carried out electronic launches from the anti-ship missile system "Uran" at surface targets of a simulated enemy in the waters of the Baltic Sea. During the exercises, tasks of conducting a naval battle were worked out, including the detection and destruction of a group of enemy ships.
As part of the training tasks, the corvette crew also worked out elements of air defense during sea passage, using electronic and visual camouflage. When simulated air targets approached the line of destruction, they were conditionally destroyed using artillery, anti-aircraft and other ship air defense systems.
In addition, the crew of the Boykiy carried out exercises in setting up electronic interference, conducted exercises in fighting for the ship’s survivability while underway, worked on passing through narrow passages, and also carried out a number of anti-submarine and anti-sabotage measures.
The corvette "Boykiy" is the third ship of the 20380 project and has been in service with the Baltic Fleet since May 16, 2013. The ships of this project are designed to perform escort and strike missions in the near sea zone, patrol coastal waters and patrol service. The corvettes are armed with universal artillery systems, anti-aircraft missile and artillery systems, anti-ship missile systems "Uran", as well as anti-submarine weapons.
